Ahead of the 2026/2027 season, I set myself a challenge for the Burnley Football Club social media platforms - rebrand the matchday social media suite. My goal for this redesign was to ensure that the traditional claret and blue of Burnley Football Club was brought to the forefront of my designs. 

Using the same background for the graphics allowed me to maintain consistency across the suite and brought in that focus back onto "claret" which I had been looking for. 

I experimented with the "Starting Eleven graphic" and came up with a concept that I am quite pleased with. During my research, I saw that most professional teams, used a standard "line-up" template where the names of the players are put in numerical order and a sharp cut out of the player is placed on the background. 

As a football fan, I understand that you want to know the positions of the players as well as where they are playing. This is where I came up with the idea of incorporating a pitch on my graphic with the numbers of the players in the formation which they will play. 
The graphics create that consistency on Burnley Football Club's Instagram page and creates that uniqueness in a football team's social media suite whilst reverting back to the heritage of Burnley FC and it's claret and blue colours.
